Day 2 Aiguille du Midi and Mt BlancA group of us took the option of the telepherique up to the Aiguille du Midi and then on across the glaciers to Pointe Helbronner on the Italian border with views over the Val Ferret. We started early and the day was bright and clear. The views were spectacular and we were able to potter on the glacier near Pointe Helbronner. Coming back we got off halfway down and skirted the mountain to have a look at the Mer de Glace. It was seven before we arrived back in camp well limbered up after a glorious day.

Exodus Trip Notes Day 2 This is a limbering up day and there are several good walks nearby. Alternatively, take the téléphérique (optional) to the Aiguille du Midi for outstanding close-up views of Mont Blanc, the Chamonix Valley and the surrounding peaks. Campsite at Les Praz.
