Day 3 Les Praz to Les FrasserandsWoken up by the helecopter at 6am! Reached the téléférique at La Flegere by 9.30 then a hard slog to Lac Blanc. Superb views. Weather hot and clear.

Exodus Trip Notes Day 3 From Les Praz (1,061 m.) we take the téléférique to La Flegere (1,876 m.). The trail is on the opposite side of the valley from Mt. Blanc and affords excellent views of the whole massif lying to the south. We ascend to reach the high point of the day at Lac Blanc (2,351 m.). The trail descends and then contours high above the valley before descending steeply to the hamlet of Les Frasserands (1,371 m.). Campsite at Les Frasserands

La Tour and Glacier du Tour with the Col de Balme on the left. We traversed and desended steeply through the Nature Reserve of the Aiguilles Rouges to a very good Railway Union campsite at Les Fasserands. Excellent meal in the hotel. Some eager souls played boules in the dark. |
