Day 4 Climb through woods towards the
Col Montets and on up to the Aiguille de Posettes, descend
a little to a col, climb again and finally contour to the
Col de Balme (2,191 m.) where we enter Switzerland. After
lunch we descend past the shepherds’ huts at Les Herbageres
to the village of Le Peuty (1,295 m.). Good views of the
Trient Glacier.
